Quarter 2, 2023: News and Updates for CASA Donors

Letter from the Executive Director

Dear CASA Donors:

It is springtime at last and I hope you all are looking forward to warmer weather.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and here at CASA, we call it our "Month of Hope." It is a time to remind community members about the importance of calling the Child Abuse & Neglect Hotline at 1-844-CO-4-KIDS with any suspicions a child is being mistreated.

During "Month of Hope," we also focus on serving every child in need through volunteer recruitment and fundraising. We were grateful this month to swear in 18 new advocates and to raise over $220,000 so far from our 23rd annual Light of Hope luncheon on April 19.

As you likely read in our 2022 annual report, 89 cents of every dollar spent in the last fiscal year went directly to programs to help the hundreds of children in need of CASA in the Pikes Peak Region. We could not continue to serve these vulnerable children with out your generous support. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your commitment to our children.

Please reach out to me any time with questions, comments, or concerns. I can be reached at angelar@casappr.org.

Have a wonderful spring,

Angela Rose
Executive Director

Partner Spotlight: Thank you Milton Foster Children's Fund partners

Many of you are familiar with CASA's Milton Foster Children's Fund, the program which provides youth in out-of-home placement with opportunities to build confidence and resilience. So many children benefit from this program each year, and it wouldn't be possible without the individuals and organizations who donate their time, heart, and resources.
